Obd11 coding/testing sub sections list?

Hi all,

I'm aware of the limitations of obd11 compared to vcds but hoping someone might be able to help.. maybe @mmi ?

I'm looking for obd11 sections for the dsg oil level test and temperature monitoring, the haldex pump motor operation, the coolant pumps operation.

I'm replacing the EGR and doing a service so would like to run some motors afterwards.


For the dsg , manual says to wait until oil is 40c then select oil level test.

OBD11 has same the capabilities as VCDS to run e.g. Haldex pump and coolant pumps. All those procedures are built-in in controllers, diagnostics tools just can trigger them (instead of generating arbitrary or new procedures).

The procedures can be found in each controller under Output test. Some things are done under "Basic settings"- However I would be a bit cautious of running basic settings randomly as they can/will alter controllers settings/adaptations.

E.g. for engine
Control Units > 01 Engine > Output test >

• EGR cooler pump
• Switchable water pump
• Heater support pump

Similarly for 22 All Wheel Drive > Output test > Haldex clutch actuation

I'm not sure about DSG oil level test - none of the available options doesn't clearly state that. Thus not sure if there actually is anything computerized (besides checking oil temperature) as some of the VW ODIS Guided functions are just to record job done and/or working instructions. In T6 DSG there is no electrical oil level sensor.

Cheers mmi ,I went through the menus and found everything. For the haldex I beluve you hear the pump but didn't hear mine so will get next to it and try again.

For the dsg, I mentioned the test as its mentioned in the workshop.manual to select level test and this should actuate every 30 secs.

I checked it when warm and its not running out so should be fine.
