The other day the reverse camera decided to stop working completely. Over the past few months I was having to really wiggle the gear stick for the image to pop up on the head unit (atoto).
Anyway, I chased the wire and checked connections. Everything looks good. Then a neighbour commented saying I had no reverse lights while backing up... So issue is not with camera but actual reverse lights.
I swapped the reverse light switch, checked the connector plug and has 11.45 volts to it so seems ok, connector for the rear lights seem to be pulling same voltage also, and 10a fuse in engine bay is showing zero resistance.
I'm stumped as to what else to check or what it could be. I mean, I say I checked the rear light connector with a multimeter but I don't really know how to properly check or use one. I just kind of stuck the prongs in all the holes to get any reading
Any ideas? It's a 2004 T5 1.9. thanks!
