No Drill Curtain Rails

Has anyone used magnetic strip / tape (or the small rectangular neodymium magnets) to secure the Kiravans or Van X curtain rail to the van - provided you haven‘t carpeted the sills.

Seems to me that there’s not a great deal of weight in them, so as long as you‘re not too rough in closing them, there should be enough strength in the magnets to hold them.

Can‘t bring myself to drill - if you hadn’t guessed  :)

There is quite a bit of tension on them so magnets even neodyium aren't likely to work. You might get away with Sikaflex though

I seem to remember the van x rails were aluminium so won’t work with magnets.

The idea was to glue the magnets to the aluminium rail, and use the magnet to attach to the van sill - so no permanent damage to the sills.

Ok but the tension of van x curtains is a great deal, I think it may be a struggle but if you feel it would work it is only the cost of 2 rails to give it try.
