Nextbase iQ dash cam through OBD11?????

So does anyone know or has already fitted a dashcam using the OBD11 port to drive the camera and would this need to be coded into the canbuss? I’ve got the iQ but yet to fit it. Just swapped out the better half’s nextbase front and rear cam after using up her old car this time using the OBD11 adaptor cable and this was straightforward to do. Hoping it’s just the same experience but this is VW….

In answer to my own query it’s a no. Soon as you plug the obd2 adapter in then the engine only cranks no start and the info media system stops working.
