New Pioneer head unit & auto start/stop

Hi all, just had an avic f88dab fitted. I like it except when the engine restarts on auto stop/start it causes the unit to reboot, which is a total PITA as it takes about two minutes. If you’ve got a route live, you also have to reselect nav operation. Anyone got any ideas other than remembering to deactivate start/stop every journey? Thanks in advance.

My leisure battery conversion loom cures it but only any use to you if you have a leisure battery fitted.

Thanks for the replies, looks like they forgot to fit a voltage regulator, whatever that is. Anyway they're sorting it next week, apparently it won't reboot unless you take the key out, which will be handy.

Car electronics firm in Nottingham, generally speaking they're really good, but they forgot to include this part when they priced up the job. Was a genuine mistake and they're sorting it FOC.

Maybe it’s a voltage stabiliser, which are quite expensive,

Never needed to use one on any vehicle to date, as always a way to wire around this issue..
