Well the van is in need of some work and I'm copying my previous T5 Build I should never have sold it.

So I started and am trying to keep it at a pace to keep me occupied for the duration.

A few more bits on order and Birch ply is now in the garage for the cupboards and rear seating/bed.So will
Try to update as I go.
This build wont suit many but it fits all that I use the van for and more as you will see as it progresses.

Nice, carpet looks amazing.
The irony is we have the time but lack of materials during lockdown:thumbsup:

I’m lucky that I have sourced most thing now, the new roof is the only thing on hold, but as I also have a motorhome it can wait until times are better and stripping out the interior is only a few hours work then. Putting it all back may take some time.
I’ll post up some pictures of my old T5 to show what I’m planning.

Well I have been busy on the van but pictures to follow in the future.

The following is my old T5 it was a good 2 berth and we covered over 100 000 miles in her, its now a rental van in the south some where.

Wish I had not parted with it but the motorhome was to take its place, but I miss the camper too much, this is what the T6 will be based around.

The new cupboards are well on the way made from 15mm Birch ply, I am in two minds how to finish them varnish/paint. Cassette toilet is fixed, work tops are cut, new floor carpet has arrived,Hob/sink cut in to top, fridge on hold just now, hook up stuff has arrived; swivels fitted to both seats
The upholstery is a big step and I may do this myself it won't be in leather this time, then I can say its all my own work.
Will post some pictures when i'm not covered in sawdust and feel it looks presentable.

Well things had slowed on my build for a while but have done a few things since my last update.

So the fridge is fitted and working.
Sink and hob is installed.
Heater is fully in.
Both low level cupboards are drawers (I’m not into being on my knees looking in cupboards.)
All electrics are fitted under the bench seat and fully finished. Plenty of space left for storage.
Cassette toilet all fitted.

So still to do.
Fit table fittings.
Fit microwave
Fit awning rail
Fit curtains
Fit exterior decals
Fit new roof

All the to do are on hold as the new roof will be fitted in the first week of August and I’ll be stripping the van for that work to be carried out.

So the only thing I have had to outsource is the roof which is booked in with Drivelodge.

Then will give the DVLA a nudge for change of use to motorhome.
