MOT - number of seats

My V5 cert states 3 seats but I have had a Rib bed fitted in the rear so now have 5 seats.
Will this cause an issue at the MOT if the number of seats does not match the V5?

No, the MOT tester will check what's there, not the accuracy of the DVLA's paperwork.
You can change the V5 simply enough....

Put the bed down when it is MOT'd, then there is nothing to check/test.

I would expect your insurer would prefer the number of seats on the insurance to match the MOT and the actual.

Just changed my V5 with the DVLA, had it back within 10 days also now says van with side windows.

my DVLA 'motor caravan' is still showing 3 seats on the log book despite the camper conversion adding another 3 in the back. I'm hesitant to change it though, in case DVLA take it as an opportunity to change me to 'van with windows' also!!

Although your worries are understandable, I very very much doubt that would happen.
