I reckon you may have a T5 passenger door in place. Think you can’t adjust the 3 bolts that bolt the mirror on from the inside of the door. Happy to be proved wrong though.

I didnt even know they were different, to be fair VW didnt like to change much before announcing the launch on a 'new model'
Is there a part number on your door T6ARF to confirm if its a door or just a mirror ?

Looking and comparing a couple of mirror’s on eBay…. the three fixing points are in different places (on the mirror mount), so I’m pretty confident the door is original and maybe somebody has fitted a T5 mirror by mistake.

Sorry to resurrect a thread from a couple of years ago, but I’ve got the itch to sort this once and for all.

After my original post I purchased an eBay replacement wing mirror in reflex silver which I thought would be the answer. Everything looked ok when the mirror came…. I fitted it and all looked as it should. The problem was when I started driving the mirror unit was rattling (obviously poor quality), which I couldn’t put up with, so I reverted back to my odd T5 mirror which is a genuine part and solid. I’ve now decided to buy a genuine replacement wing mirror, but my question is where to get one from? I’ve looked online, but all I can find are aftermarket or eBay type stuff. Any help would be most appreciated.
