Lowering Springs On 20"

T6.1, Highline 150 DSG in conversion
T6 Pro
So I have had my T6.1 T30 HL SWB for 3 days. Love it. Just put my 20" wheels on it and now it need lowering desperately. I guessing about 60mm. It will be a camper when done and want a good smooth ride. So, what are my best options?20200306_153148.jpg

You might want to consider doing the conversion first, as the weight compress the springs, especially the back.
Either way, a chat with Steve at CRS first is a good plan.

If you want to go 60mm down, your only option is coilovers - plenty of options out there to choose from. They will transform the look and ride of the vehicle and you can level the van out when the conversion is added. Make sure you get a good roadtest with any suspension options. Uprated rollerbars work really well with the heaviness of the conversion as well.

I have the details on the new H&R springs which will be with me in the coming weeks for T6.1 . Really not sure what the difference is yet but if H&R are making new springs for it there will be a difference . As Oli said 60 mm drop puts you firmly in the Coil over bracket and this apparently is a problem on T 6.1 , H&R are remodelling the popular coil over kit we sell to suit , but not sure how long this will take , I think patience needed , don't dash into anything until we all know what we are dealing with .

Modified drop links are needed for going low apparently - we are fitting eibach coilovers to a 6.1 this week so will report back. ARBs are different because of the electric power steering. Apparently the Germans will have drop links out soon and the ARBs are being worked on??
We haven’t heard what the difference on the standard spring is so will be interesting to hear?

Longer I guess ? maybe we should research some suitable adjustable ones or make them ourselves if not commercially available

for coilovers you get away with standard drop links. On air suspension you only need longer ones. I had Insignia drop links on my old 5.1 when it was on air

Personally I think that looks lower than 55 mm and if you went lower again I don't think it will look better and I know it wont be as comfortable ( unless of course you are running on standard shocks at the moment )
It is on standard shocks and the ride just bounces, defo 55mm springs tho

I still like the thought of your springs but been looking at the b4s aswell

Ok would have expected the bouncing if standard shocks
Our Coil over kit H&R/KONI is streets ahead of all the other height adjust kits and at the moment we have a promo on price so maybe a good time to go for it !!

B4 ?? the only kit running B 4 is the SOLOW kit its a special build kit for extreme drops , definitely not for everyone and I certainly wouldn't see it in a Daily use van with drops of 130 mm ??

Retail £1395.00 reduced to £1195.00 Fantastic offer because this kit is damping adjustable as well as 50 to 80 mm drops , Its a full Coil over kit ( not a hybrid sleeve over )
Fronts dampers can be adjusted whilst fitted on the Car !
New rear design spring and shock that is very comfortable at low settings .
We have removed a few of the popular options to fit this kit results are amazing .

Is this the stainless ones?

being honest I would be looking to keep my springs and add a better shock at the moment tax man just made my day ffs

Yep the coil over kit is in Stainless , the Koni shocks Sport and special active are powder coated Red

Well I called Eibach and they have confirmed that the Pro Street- S coilovers (PSS65-85-013-02-22) will fit my T6.1 T32. So I assume any coilovers that fit the T6 T32 will fit the T6.1 too. They can be adjusted from 20mm- 70mm but apparently 30mm - 60mm on a T32
