Should my Eibach / SoLow -45mm springs have rubber seats for the rear springs?

My local mechanic fitted the above today on my T32 T6.1. I’m over the moon with the look and a quick drive feels good too.

He fitted the whole kit so front springs with T6.1 ‘seats’ fitted on them and the rear springs with new ‘top rubbers’.

No lower rubbers were in the kit and he said due to the shape / size of the springs my originals wouldn’t have fitted anyway.

So, do I need them / should I have some? I see Eibach do make new ones so I can grab some if needed and he’d put them on for me. As it looks though - without settling it looks dead level at the moment.

For info, it’s this kit: Eibach Lowering Springs - Pro Sport - 45mm | So Low Suspension

Many thanks all.

Im looking at these - seem a good option buy for springs only. Did you get to the bottom of your question as when i load the springs into basket the web site suggests i may also want rear lower rubbers. Also did you have to put on longer drop links? Van looks great in your pics being that little lower. Thanks

Changing the rear lower spring rubbers is a good idea, go for the upgraded SoLow PU ones, they are far better than the standard VW ones.

You do not need longer drop links with those springs.

They don't come with lower rubbers, but the likes of THQ sell PU ones separately and they're inexpensive. I bought a set when I had my Eibach springs fitted.

But yes, you should have lower rubbers fitted, if for no other reason than VW felt it necessary to go to the expense of doing so, something they wouldn't have bothered with if they felt they could get away with it.

I have these springs. Unfortauntely I made the mistake of mating them with standard high mileage shocks. I am pretty sure they do come with inexpensive rubbers.
After a few months I had them mated with Koni shocks from CRS and the ride is now very good.

I only post this as it will come up in searches on this forum.
