LED OEM LIGHT HELP

Hi, First post been in the shadows since last summer but finally starting work on my T6.1

I have LED lights the drivers side part number is T6.1 O/S LED: 7L2941036E

I know the last digit is the revision number ie E.

I can only get hold of a D aka 7L2941036D.

I will be swapping the bottom module thing so I don't think coding is needed, right?

But will this cause problems using a D vs E?

Thanks for any advice!

ideally they should match to avoid any issues. i have a brand new oem pair if you want. i brought both a new set of headlights and was told i needed the modules as well, so got them. to find out the new headlights had them already installed but TPS dont excepts returns on special purchase electrical items.... was about to put them on ebay, but PM me if your interested. reason i have them is i went from a T6 to T6.1 OEM led facelift...

Hi Martin, do you mean the module or the light unit? It's the actual light unit i need as have the module. Let me know thanks.

I just tried LLL parts and not available. In all honesty I would go to the main dealer for this. Although revision D may work, it is not the risk, especially with electronics.

As for the lcm module under the light, I am going to say no. It won't need coding as the correct datasets have already been flashed to this module. Should be straightforward plug and play. Then possibly diag to remove error codes afterwards.
You may need to do a basic setting on 55 module so the new headlight can learn it's new position possibly.

I have a pair of modules....

In regards to the light unit itself, there is no information about what the revision difference is. i suspect it might just be a manufacture change and the unit is the same. but its an expensive thing to break if not.
