Hi - I'm repairing a 2023 T6.1that I've purchased and intend doing a full personalised camper conversion once I've completed the damage repairs.
The damage is to the O/S front - only collected the van yesterday and not had a chance to start pulling parts off to fully assess the damage but know I'm in deep and will be looking at inner wing pannels on the structural side of things - but I was pleasantly surprised to discover the van has factory LED headlights.
My question is if I fit a used genuine VW replacement headlight will this need to have a totally matching part number??
Also will any replacement unit need coding to the van or should it be plug and play?
Within the remains of my headlight I have located the part number but the ones I've found for sale so far have a different letter on the end of the part number (mine being 7L2.941.036.D) .
So do I need one with a part number ending with a 'D' ??
Thanks for any technical insight / advice.
