LED Fogs

Been trawling through the net and the threads on here but cant find a definitive answer to the best LED lamp upgrade for my T6.1, I have the factory LED headlights and with the Fogs being orange and cornering operated it looks a bit gash. Travlin-lite have what they say are the right lamp upgrade but no stock. does anyone have any recommendations??

hey, i got those these ones based on the review below… never quite mastered the colour change but they are always on the white setting. big improvement over stock for sure.

Following on from @3shotdave original post about "New Led Fog Light Bulbs" i though i would give it a go.

I liked the idea of the two colour fogs so though i would give it a go.

a quick look over at Autobeam seemed to look genuine and a fairly good quality.

the bulbs in question were:

LED foglight bulbs are often a one bulb fits all H8, H9, H11 applications. As a result of this they are not a perfect seal and can let moisture in.

Personally I'd turn off the cornering function with VCDS and never turn them on.

I have the switchbacks ref the post above. They work well with 3 colour modes. On cornering it can be random for which colour you get and odd times you get flickering when parking, or the odd fog light warning light on the dash, but it always disappears. But great when using them on the yellow mode

No aftermarket led ‘bulb’ replacement will be road legal but the best in terms of quality of operation, beam pattern and fit are pretty much always Philips. They’re trying very hard as they are lobbying to get these bulbs made road legal, as you can imagine.

They are from the ‘access’ range which have dimensions just like the halogens so no concerns about dust covers not fitting back on and the emitter will be in the right place for the reflector.

I bought the Travelin-lite ones over a year ago, £45 IIRC, coded in on my poverty line by the guys at Professional Retrofits. Look good, and the right colour match for my THQ headlights. Worth a wait I would say.

While others may be able to see you LED fog lamps are worse than the original halogens when it comes to seeing where you are going.
Obviously there are many who are more interested in how white and not how far I can see.
OEM Hella fog lights leak at the joint to the lens and body, if you have water inside your fog lights it’s nothing to do with the bulb choice.
Remove the lamps, seal the edge with polymer sealant / adhesive.
