Lake/loch side campsite.

After suggestions for a UK campsite for/with the following.

*Lake or Loch frontage with fishing and waters ports.
*Electric hookup.
*Not too busy
*Preferably no permanent lodges just tourers etc.
*Family and pet friendly.
*hot showers and clean toilets.
*wifi for teenagers
*For May half term.

Waterside Farm Campsite - Waterside Farm Campsite

Waterside House is a beautifully situated family run Lake District campsite situated on the northern shores of Ullswater in the Lake District.

We had a great weekend here last May for teenage daughter’s birthday. They rented a huge standup paddle board on site. Good facilities, on the shore of Ullswater.

May half term on a site with all the facilities is never going to be not too busy, but the atmosphere here is more family camping than Pontins.

Low Wray (National Trust) on the shore of Windermere is another favourite.

Fewer fancy facilities, but also good atmosphere and location, is Coniston Hall Campsite in the Lake District, Cumbria

Was going to say Waterside Farm also! Went last year and will definitely be going back.

Would not recommend Coniston Hall unless you are not wanting to sleep. Very noisy no policing of curfew. Felt a bit like a crap festival full of students partying. Luck of the draw I suppose but if you read reviews they say similar. God I sound old.

Parkfoot Ullswater < Lake District Campsite

We stayed here a few years back on the way to Scotland.
Although the touring site was full, it never felt too busy.
Would go again.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Most of them were already booked for the dates we wanted so have gone for a basic site on Loch Lomond.

Really looking forward to it.
