You definitely have a t6, it may have a euro 5 engine but that isn't a bad thing.

To facelift a t5.1 to a t6 the whole front is swapped so wing repeaters aren't a very good tell tale sign.
Not many people swap the dash so cup holders are a better bet .
Wing mirrors being lower down than a t5.1.
Rear bumper and tailgate (if its not a barn door) obviously all different.

Perhaps it does, we have a pull out section just above the secret cubby hole. I suspect it is meant to place a cuppa of something we use it to store a small circular or round LED camping torch. The sort of think Cotswold has or had it can be switched for various colours or intensity. Really good useful and takes little space. A sort of emergency thing.
