Ignition barrel

After being used to the Audi 'push to start' ingnition, it is strange going back to the old 'twist key to start' type.

Is it just me or just my van, but is the ignition spring tension excessive? Feels like you could break the key with the force required to start it.

It is quite stiff. The Subaru is similarly old skool and is much looser.
Like your Audi, our BM has a key but you don't put it in the ignition; it just "knows" it's there using German Voodoo magic.

One thing I'm glad of; all our three vehicles have proper handbrakes. I HATE electronic ones!!
