I left it very late to reserch!

To be honest the milage in the last few years wasnt a issue for me, i had a brand bew transit leighton on the drive, a range rover SVR, a Defender, and a work van! He said this was used to go to and from his house in the lakes (abput 40 mins away) reason for sale is he somomy isnt using it.

From all the history i didnt see the colller had been chamged so presumed it was on from new.

Can i ask how many people actually have that cfca wngine and not had a issue? I really thought it was the cooler that was the problem. Tbh i did think of doing a pil sample test!
I bought my t6 with a cfca engine. I didn't realise the issues with cfca until after purchase, mine had 26k on when purchased, blanked the egr at 28k and 60k now without any issues or any oil usage.....everything i have read some don't seem affected and some destroy themselves in 30k......oil analysis and compression check seem the sensible pre purchase check before parting with your hard earned money . ( just my opinion)

Do you really wanna get into buying a new van that 'might' eat itself ?
Or having to tamper with the emissions devices to stop it eating itself but thats technically illegal and an mot failure 🤔

Just not worth getting in to .
