My youngest lad is married to a local gal in Cambuslang, Glasgow so we get fairly regular weather reports from up there... 
Where he used to live on Braeside was on the edge of proper "Still Game" territory and where they filmed some of the canal scenes.
I couldn't live there any more than I could say Brum or Manchester as it's a proper city and full on but for visiting it's great and easy to commute into the centre.

I should have man! My sister-in-law's parents have their caravan in Tay View, so we joined them for a few days when they were borrowing it. Next time defo. The plan is to go back at some point in the summer, so I'll PM you when I'm up.
