heater plug light/Could my Maf sensor need cleaning or replacing

I took the van into my local garage and had the code faults scanned due to the engine gearbox icon and heater plug warning lights coming on and off. It appeared that my battery might of been the issue. All the electrical codes were cleared, nothing directly relating to the heater plugs. They replaced the battery and all was fine for about 30 minutes then the same lights came back - no reduction in power

Heater plugs are all new. I did read on the forum, very helpful, that it might be my Maf sensor that needs cleaning or replacing.

Can anyone through any light on the issue or have any advice at all.

Thank you to the forum

What were the fault codes? The glow plug light can mean a number of things and also depends if it is flashing or fixed on.

With the glow plug light flashing it will be an engine issue reported by the ECU and unlikely a specific Glow plug issue. It could be a number of things so the actual fault codes will be required to narrow it down.

thank you. I guess I will need to get the codes read again

Hopefully the garage would have recorded them, so won't need a rescan.
I might be worth buying a scan tool yourself eg VCDS or OBD11, as a scan is pretty much necessary for any diagnostic.
