pull it hard, or use a trim tool. - for small fuse box lid only

take off side airbag panel,
remove glovebox,
unclip DSG top assembly,
remove lower footwell plastics
remove light switch
undo all screws
remove the 3x lower dash plastics

Removing the Gear lever gaiter

Removing the DSG selector

So remove the light switch bottom right of steering wheel yes ?

once you have done it for the first time its easy.

just be careful with the DSG top piece, the circuit board and wire connection is very fragile

yeah noticed it was very fragile, hopefully I didn’t damage anything when unplugging.. not taken it off the knob tho... left it on in the end

the PRINDL bit will push through the hole at the top.

you can remove that center bit easily - just unplug the 12v socket

like this . . .

That looks a little scary and I’m an electrician

to be fair, it’s not in my way at the moment so it can stay... going to put some silent coat down... not sure how much difference it will make considering the thickness of the matt that’s already down there from factory.
