Full length Kitchen....worth it or not?

Hi All,

I'm really torn on whether or not to change the current setup I have In my T6 for a full length kitchen.

On the 29th, I'm having my 3/4 rock n roll bed fitted, which will leave a gap at the side and so called dead space.

I've looked at full kitchens, but not sure how much of a nightmare it'll be to swap.

My current setup is a kitchen pod, fridge and sink on left, gas hob on right. Me and my partner are not even sure we're going to use the hob.

Question is, if I disconnect the hob to remove and resit in a new unit, do I have to have any like gas safe cert or anything?

If it's just for your own use then technically no, the standard is a little lower then and simply requires any work to be done by "a competent person"

For me the acid test is "if I did this myself and cocked it up would the insurance pay out" - if you feel you can make the argument your work is competent in that situation then consider it, if not consider getting someone professional to do it.

Good summary:

Cheers mate

I'm an Electrician by trade, so the 240v electrics I'm fine with. I'm not gas competent, so just weighing it up. I think I'm only drawn by the idea of a longer kitchen for more cupboard space
