I have the oem ones but bought a set of these actually just for a fitting as the original broke and I couldn’t find an alternative anywhere. Anyway, I didn’t fit them but the materials look a bit basic (less textured or something) compared to the oem but I’m sure when on you wouldn’t notice the difference. I could possibly get a photo for comparison as I also have the oem rears that I never fitted
Maybe I take back what I said they are in fact very similar. This is the aftermarket front one on top and the oem rear behind. The only real difference is that the oem is much more flexible rubber like than the aftermarket which is more like rigid plastic (but that may be a difference between the front and rears instead of the maker)
I find that mud flaps fitted to vehicles these days do very little and can cause some problems. Mine are for ever rubbing on farm tracks and off road one might think that i would be all in favour of them considering where I live and the environment the vehicle spend most of its time in. I have original fit mudguards and they do nothing or very little. They are too stiff so when in contact with anything make a din and threaten to come adrift, my rear ones often need readjusting and the attachment screws flimsy not up to task pull out and no easy way to reattach without pulling the rear arch liner. I might have a look one day at a Rally Supply shop and see what they might have. Broad sheets of Plastic rubber PVC. They could be additionally supported with elastic bungee cord to prevent them contacting or even pulled right out of the way when off road. Perhaps too agricultural or rally raid for most on here but would do the job after all the latest fashion seams to be the off road swamped look. What better!
