Wide mud flaps

Hi all

I've got Falken Wildpeaks on my T6.1 and love them. I go off road quite a lot and along with the 4Motion, the van gets everywhere I need it to

The only issue is that the tyres are wide and sit further out than the original ones did. So any bit of mud, grit or dirty puddles splatters up my front doors immediately. I wash the van and by the time I've got home , it's dirty again.

I'd like to fit some wide mud flaps but Google searches aren't bringing up to many options.

Has anyone on here installed wide ones and if so, where did you buy them from please. And if you've got photos of them installed on your van that would be awesome.

Thanks

Maybe worth looking for some rally flaps or buy some sheet material and make your own to suit .
Yes I was thinking rally flaps too. Just thought I'd post here and see if anyone had brought and installed some to get an idea of what they'll look like

They'll look crap but will probably suit the big AT tyres and serve a purpose :D

If you are going for the swamper look, the rally ones would probably look OK. Even colour matched to trim colour as a feature!

I did just this as I have swampered mine up 😉. I’ll post up a photo tomorrow and also a link or picture of the mudflats I bought. 👍

Here is a photo of the mudflaps I got. I’m sure I got them off eBay but I’d search Amazon too.
Picture of rear install.
I simply marked up some holes to correspond with arch liner fixings and popped the fir tree clip or screw out and re-affixed through the flap to hold in place. Also put an extra hole and clip in the liner and flap where I thought it needed. (You’ll get the gist but tricky bit is holding it all in place whilst you drill it -I taped mine in).
Did the same on the front, BUT. after a year or so where the mudflap had flexed with driving, it started to resonate and tap on the cill at speed.
So I removed them and I’ve got a set I’ve yet to fit but I’m moving them up slightly (using original holes) to reduce amount of possible flex. My main aim was to reduce pebble rash on the bottom of the door leading edge. (I’ve seen older T6’s with standard wheels where the bottom of the door goes rusty from this issue, so thought bigger wheels can only exasperate this).

If I get a chance I’ll dig out a photo of the fronts when they were on but principle is the same. Get them where you want and fix through the liner. (I’d also advise updating the clips as supplied ones are a bit pants).
HTH.
