Follow up question;

If I have cocked up the blanking bolt application etc, where would I expect to see the ingress of water? It's supposed to hammer it down today so will be a good test :D .

Depends how your van is sitting? Nose down will run into the A pillar and onto the footwell, I think.

How have you cocked up? Did you leave the spongey bits on? Even without sikaflex (or similar) the rubber washers should seal the blanks if the aree was cleaned.

Lovely van. When you add the cost of the conversion/pop top etc then compare it to what you'd pay for a converted van of that age and mileage i think you've saved yourself a good few grand there.

And a van of that age and mileage has 30 years ahead of it if you look after it

Well done!

Was just an IF hehe, but I did remove the spongy bits, gave it a good wipe with cleaning alcohol, filled the hole with Sikaflex and then the blanking screws, and looks OK thankfully 👍.

Thank you, Pete. We hope we’ll enjoy it!
