Fixing new flooring

So I’ve cut my new 12mm floor and I’m now ready to fix it down, how has everyone done this, self tappers, sikaflex 221 , or both?

I did this job on my van last week .so I glued battens down between ribs in floor then screwed down the 12 mm ply to the 9 mm battens 9mm is perfect size as is level with ribs on van floor.use really good screws I used reisser 20 mm you must pre drill and countersink 12 mm ply oh and make sure you mark positions of battens.
