Fix solar panel to pop top

Hi all. I'm taking tentative steps into powering my internal lights etc with a battery pack. I'd like to install a solar panel on my pop-top.

What kind of fixings should I used to attch the panel to the Reimo pop-top (fibreglass) roof?

The panel has 6 fixing points. Should I bond it down too?

Don't drill and screw.

Just stick down.

With silkaflex to or similar.

Or heavy duty 3m double sided tape.

Or heavy duty Velcro.

Add section of vinyl wrap and stick to that.

That will save you a paint job if you have to remove it .

+1 for Velcro, makes replacing it after the inevitable failure that much easier!

Solar panel on today, as it was dry and sunny (and I was a bit too ill to go CX racing). Sikaflex 522 to hold a Renogy 100w panel. Once it’s cured I’ll route the cables through the pop top, to hook up to the connectors already in the roof.
