Just saying hello!
Picked up my first van today. A 16 plate T30 T6 140. Only driven it a bit today... but absolutely love it.
Just some thoughts here, not questions as such...
It’ll be a work van so it will need to be fully shelved for tool boxes etc 99.9% of the time, but I’m trying to think of a way it can be occasionally converted for the odd summer camping weekend. It’s be great having all that space, rather than trying to cram everything in the car!
For this to work I’d need to remove the bulkhead, and pop a fourth seat in the back. (There’s for of us, but currently only three seats). Not sure if this is easy to do, safe to do, or even possible?
I’ll probably pop a leisure battery in for charging stuff, but mainly keep the back free for carrying all the camping paraphernalia, rather than putting a bed in the van itself.
I think the toolbox racking will have to stay in place, but I’ll just swap the toolboxes for camping stuff if we go away in it.
The long term plan is to talk my wife into selling her car and getting a proper VW camper as her daily... but I may have unrealistic expectations!

Just now I intended researching seats, something very practical..... but ended up reading about springs vs Coilovers for 30 mins! And splitters, and wheel sizes, and running boards, and led lights.... this is going to bankrupt me!
