I have just done a scan and have the following fault. Is it something I can fix myself or is it a visit to a dealer?

Thanks

Front ride height sensor for the lights.

Log then delete codes,

If it comes back look at front ride height sensor, plug and wire/loom. (Chassis and lower suspension arm, sensor measurement for suspension travel)

Its saying short to ground.

Didnt you have air bags last time I saw you?

Thanks, was wondering how easy/hard it is to locate the short. The lights still do the up down dance when the ignition is switched on.

And yes to the air bags

Clear the codes and see if it comes back.

You can use VCDS to read the sensor handouts to check if it's working.

If I clear the code it just reappears straight away.

How do I check the sensor handouts?

I've just been under the van, found the front RIGHT ride height sensor, but there doesn't appear to be one on the front LEFT

Only one sensor on front and one at rear.

Both on drivers side.

Try the unplug it test, ...

Unplug sensor, clear codes, cycle ignition, rescan.

See if fault code changes.

Thanks will try that

Update, unplugged the sensor. It had some water in it. Dried it warmed the socket up with a hairdryer as its upright and don't want to bend the pins inside.
The previous fault has cleared and now I have a new one, open circuit, hope that clears when I plug in again later.
Will leave if an hour or so to dry and try again. I guess I might need a new sensor (plug and socket),hopefully that's the worst case scenario. Will update again later.
Thanks @Dellmassive
