I have installed (with some difficulty) a Fiamma barn door bike rack and it is lop sided and the bottom right hand side bracket is coming away from the door. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong? Many thanks in advance!

They are buggers to fit, which is partly why we ditched ours and went towbar mounted.

Key points for me when fitting:

Don‘t do up all the assembly bolts tightly until the rack is in place and looks right - leave some slack until you are happy.
The challenge is getting the tension balanced between top and bottom. Too tight and you damage the door, and too loose and it falls off.
Get it perfectly aligned vertically with the barn doors vertical gap, before tightening it up.

Ours was fine for 2 years until we went towbar mount.

Hope this helps.

Looks too far over to centre. I fitted ours 2 weeks back and whilst a pain it went well.

As previously stated do not tighten up any bolts until it's lined up as when loose always for a little movement around the door.

Can't tell by your photos, but do you have same issue as me? The middle part of the bottom bar on mine is touching the door, or at least really really close to it. Just Kampers told me to move it to the left, I've moved it a little bit more to the left than yours and it now looks like the bike will hang far out left... nightmare.

Its not touching the bumber and I did put and extra bit of protection so it did not rub the door edge. I also put some protection on the bumper where the bottom of the rack was when closed doors. Hope that helps.
