Evening all.
After a bit of advice please. I’m currently broken down on the campsite I am staying at. I had to get the van recovered here after my alternator/ serpentine belt snapped.
I have replaced the belt but now getting no engine start. It will crank fine, but not fire.
All pulleys, AC compressor, power steering pump etc turn fine by hand with no binding. Belt runs free with no locking up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated please 🙏
Edit: I have also scanned the vehicle and no fault codes showing.
Regards
Andy

Just perusing........

What was the problem in the end?
Hate to say it but if you have a puzzle that requires you to ask for help, then at least put us out of our misery and let us know what fixed it.
Might help others in the same situation.

Apologies! I genuinely thought I’d closed this off, my bad!

As @bluezie said, the shredded belt had wrapped round the crank pulley jumped two teeth. New cambelt and water pump and retimed and it was fine! Got very lucky I think!

Very lucky - it's a good warning for all of us though to keep an eye on the condition of aux belt and always get it replaced when the cambelt is changed or if it gets damaged in any way.

Nice one.
Shame about the shredded belt but at least you found it in time. That was an interesting one.
Cheers.

The CFCA has a alum’ alloy lower timing belt cover whereas the later models use plastic.
I wonder if the stronger CFCA cover would fit?
