Engine whooshing noise

Hi All
My 2ltr t6 has started making a whoosing noise when driving. At first i thought it was exhaust but when you rev engine at idle everything sounds normal.
It comes on when you are starting to accelerate hard.
Any ideas please.

That’ll be the turbo spooling up I’d have thought

What does that mean.

In 4th and 5th gear the more you accelerate the louder the noise gets. It does not seem to be loosing any power.

Yes agree just the turbo spinning up when you accelerate...not that i hear it very often as the music is to loud

Maybe i am using the wrong description....at first i thought i had a burst exhaust so the noise is pretty loud.

Maybe take it back to the dealer if your not happy with it, i am sure the will take a look for you

aye for sure. just back from a trip to Loch Lomond so will be on the phone come Monday.

Hi, managed to have a poke around engine bay and i found out what the problem was. The 3 inch rubber elbow from the turbo to the air box ,one of the jubilee clips was loose.
Nice quick cheap fix.
