Can someone help identify this noise.

Hi everyone.

I’ve had this whining noise coming from what sounds like the right hand side of the engine when I’m sitting in the driver seat. I’m not sure if it’s the power steering pump. It sometimes goes away as the engine warms up. The van has done 120,000 miles now and it’s a t6 150ps 6 speed manual. The higher up the revs the van goes the higher pitch the noise goes and when I’m at a standstill and turn the steering wheel you can hear the noise quite bad. I don’t think I can upload videos to here but I do have videos of it. Anyway thanks In advance for any help.

I'm no expert, but a very easy first step is to check the power steering fluid level. Sounds similar to my Audi, which is losing a liitle fluid and needs an occasional top up.
