Hi all, I have a few questions for the Techs on here and for anyone else who has upgraded their original "out of the factory" engine software version to the most recent and available version.
My van is a 2019 T6 T30 150bhp 6 speed manual with circa 13k miles, and the engine is currently running software version 3802. Next Wednesday Im getting it updated to the latest version which I believe is version 6166 at a main dealer.
My question is this..... is there anything to watch out for or to be aware of regarding engine behaviour, performance etc AFTER the upgrade has been done? Is it really just a case of plugging in whatever the computer gadgets are at the main dealers, they then input the new software and thats it! Off you go sir!
Doing some earlier checks on here, Im sure I read somewhere that one person had had the EGR warning light come on shortly after their software upgrade but then drove it for 20-30 mins at around 2000 - 2500 rpm which then "cleared" the fault light. After that all was fine.
Has anyone experienced anything new or unusual that wasnt there before the upgrade? Are there any commonly recognised issues that appear after a software upgrade?
I had an yellow EML come on a while ago and that is the reason for the software update being done. Up until now there have been no issues with the vehicle apart from that.
