Engine management light and emission control lights on

Hi. First time poster. Recently bought a 2017 T6 converted camper 122k on clock. Out in it today and the engine management light came on and noticed not much acceleration in 4th 5th or 6th gears. Not much later the emissions control lamp came on. With same issues. Decided to turn around and drive back home, booked into garage for tomorrow but any ideas what it might be? Spoke to previous owner and he said the EGR valve was changed under warranty. Thanks

Sounds like it’s in limp mode, a full scan of fault codes would be needed before any attempt at diagnosis. My advice is to get hold of the receipt for the EGR work just in case it’s linked and the repair can be covered under warranty for the previous work.

yeah it needs to be scanned to see what its saying is the issue.

An update on the T6, took it to a garage that was recommended as a VW/German car specialist. Diagnostic found Inlet Manifold "stuck". Manifold changed and £900 lighter when picking van up. Drove about 5 miles and Emission Control Valve light back on and back to limp mode, contacted garage and took van back. Diagnostic run again and fault was solenoid which controls the actuator which moves valves in manifold. Booked back in and part changed. Drove van home and no issues. Drove van that evening and thought it was all fixed. Jumped in van few days later and light back on but not in limp mode.
Back to garage and now diagnosed as Heater Support Pump Locked fault code P16C700. Garage cleared fault and given a quote to change pump. Since fault has been cleared the light hasn't returned but within a couple of minutes of leaving garage the light came on dash for bulb fault. Drove home turned ignition off and light not come back on. Not sure where to go with this now. Should i have an inlet manifold, solenoid and coolant pump all go within a week or is there another underlying issue. Would appreciate any input. Thanks

Its very hard to give advice on an issue like this, have you owned it from new? What type of milage does it do? Water pump is a serviceable item anyway so should have been changed 2021/2022 along with cambelt and aux pulleys.

I get an occasional bulb out light and like you it disappears when I drive the van and turn it on and off. I’m convinced it only happens if I haven’t use the van for a few days and the voltage on the battery drops a bit. I do have some led lights. I wouldn’t worry about the bulb out light but I would check your battery, lots of electrical faults reported on here seem to occur as a result of a battery on its way out or voltage dropping from lack of use

Water pump and cam belt was changed by previous owner last year.

If I can add the issue is with the heater support pump not main water pump.
