Engine doesn't start -torque then improves!

Bought a used T6 Caravelle 150hp 2016 a week ago and today it wouldn't start at all after an hour long break. Start engine running but not a sound apart from that. The "glow symbol" flashed but everythong else seemed normal. After an hour, all of a sudden, the engine started and ran normally. We drove off and quite soon I realized that torque between 1000 and 1500 rpm had improved!
Will have the car examined first thing next week and the self diagnosis read-out will be interesting to say the least...
I have speculated a bit about start/stop function and also about the DPF but nothing really makes sense.
Anyone else who has experienced anything similar or have an idea?

Took it to the dealer and they found a cable not properly connected. With it completely detached engine was dead. With it being semi connected the engine had not had optimized amounts of air at low revs, hence the improvement when it had a moment of better contact. All events being completely random made it all such a mystery...
Now it's running as it should anyway!
