EML - Glow Plug No 4 "Inactive Fault"

Morning,

I had the joyful EML light turn on just in time for Xmas, called VW assist who diagnosed glow plug 4 and advised visiting dealer.

Additionally had "Oil level high" warning, so booked for service oil change.

Booked in with Snows Plymouth who said fault was no longer active (although EML on) so nothing they could do.

Didnt think this sounded right and argued it with them but no chance they were doing the work under warranty.

Cold morning today and my orange friend is back, soonest I can book in for is March - concerned that a) they are clueless and b) I will get the same response that its not active, they'll reset the indicator and a few weeks later I will have the same issue!!

Anyone else had similar issues?

What did they say the fault was that was bringing the light on?

Get a VCDS scan done for yourself and go back armed with your own evidence.

Not a T6 but similar problem on my 21 caddy…needed a new control module on glow plug 3…done under warranty.
A month on and no further issues….
