I wrote on here about my Eberspacher playing up. Smoking and stinky see picture. I took it to HJ Specialists Vehicles Loughborough they’re Eberspacher approved.
I strongly recommend them. Great couple of guys and very honest to boot. They stripped it serviced it and even repaired my under tray which was bonus: 1 hour done and dusted.
The attached pictured glow plug was actually broken inside the housing and it was replaced (£87+vat for the plug
). This caused a really bad build up of soot on an air hole in the housing so the initial spurt of diesel was not burning and built up causing the smoke. They did advise that servicing very 2 years is really necessary because of the glow plug and soot issues.
They also spoke about Chinese heaters. Do not take it to them for servicing
from experience they wont touch them except to remove and replace.
I was recommended a guy called Gary from Leamington by a forum member. Don't bother he was useless and failed to answer texts, calls etc.
