Hi afternoon guys have any of you ran or running EBC brakes on your vans.? Are they any good. Are they worth the extra money. ? Thanks

I’m due discs and pads soon and was looking at EBC. I mentioned this the other day to a mate and he said he put the green stuff pads on his Subaru Impreza and until they were warm it was is if he had no brakes.
He spends all his spare time competing as an amateur rally driver in his mk2 escort so I trust his judgement on vehicle matters.
Be interesting to see if anyone is running the yellow stuff-which is what I was considering.

Yeah I have had EBC brakes on my Mk1 and mk2 minis before but they got used and used hard. I have always used brembo brakes on my vans in the past. I just wanted something different / change. .

I have Ambush drilled and slotted discs which are way way better than the standard T32 discs I had. The pads are Brembo fast road after a lot of research. I have so much more confidence in my brakes now with no fade at all. Plus no warming up phase.

I've gone through 4 sets of discs and pads on my T6 and by far the best aftermarkets are the Brembo that Eurocarparts supply. I'm on my 2nd set of Brembo pads and they are just as good as the 1st. Long lasting, low brake fade (heavy T32 and enthusiastic driving sometimes) and best of all, no annoying brake squeal and less dusting than any previous brand I'd used.

The best were the original VW ones, but the Brembo are very close to the factory set.

Oh and yes, I have used EBC along with the Pagid and Bosch.
The EBC were meant to be low dust pads, but they were absolutely no different from anything else I'd used. The Pagid warped the front discs and the Bosch were fine.

I've been using EBC Ultimax grooved discs and Greenstuff pads for the last three years on my T6 and I think they're great.
I like the feel the greenstuff pads give and have them fitted to pretty much every vehicle I own, biting from the first touch unlike some sintered pads that just whizz for a while until they start to bite.EBC Ultimax.jpg

Just about to get discs and pads. Where did you get your brembo fast road pass from? Ambush don’t seem to list them for a T6

Got them on eBay there are loads on there.
