Those caravan makes are associated with the "traveller community"... apparently.
Don´t tell a german that his beloved Hobby is classed as a traveller caravan.
Hobby and Knaus Tabbert are leading the statistics since decades.

Should have said that some of those caravan makes have that association - other are simply continental design with the habitation door on the "wrong" side, given the site owner's preference for pitch orientation.

We have a funfair come to our village every year and an awful lot off the caravans used by the showmen / showwomen / show people (take you pick) are either Tabbert or Weippert - some of them are the size of a large manor house.
As an aside, the only trouble that's seen at the event is usually caused by p1ssed kids on the cider (but the adults can be pretty stupid too).
Not sure how long the funfair has been coming but the event itself (The Frampton Feast) is reckoned by some to go back to the 13th century.

The carnies often have some fantastic caravans and amazingly preserved vintage trucks still working hard for a living.

So also not a site for California owners.

Funny.
Do they ban Mercedes too? Most of the Tabbert I have seen had a Mercedes towing it.
And none Ford.

Going to come a cropper soon…. The Elddis/Explorer (whatever they’re called now) group have now ceased building caravans with the door on the “proper” side!!!
