Drivers Side Lights not working

Can anyone help give any advice on an issue I am having with my VW T6 2017.
I purchased it two years ago already converted and everything was fine, then about 6 weeks ago a warning light came up on the dash which indicated an issue with my lights. On inspection driver side light was out and then so was my rear drivers side lights.
Took to halfords thinking it was just bulbs blown, they replaced bulbs and inspected connections, but still the issue remained.
Took it it VW as I was needing an MOT and Service, they could not fix the issue due to the conversion and it not being standard VW fixings. VW did try and investigate and suspect when it was converted that a screw had been driven through the wiring loom that goes from the module under the passenger seat to the rear of the Van, but over time has now broken through the wire and breaking the connection. When they attach a meter it comes up with Ground or something to that effect. So has anyone had a similiar issue like this that can offer any advice? Does anyone know where the standard wiring loom is located so my mechanic can try and locate where the possible break could be?
Welcome any help or tips anyone has offer.

Do your courtesy lights work? Could possibly be a blown fuse

Scrap that, just re read and it's only one side so it won't be this fuse :p

I had this issue and I could not find any thread with an answer. I fixed it on my T6 T32 2017
I had a brake light out, so I replaced the brake light bulb. The brake light then worked fine.
After that, the side lights on the drivers side stopped working. It was not bulbs or fuses or control units.
Turns out it was the brake light bulb. I replaced it with a different make and made sure that it was fitted in the right way around. This then fixed the side light issue.

I know this is an old thread, but it was first I got to when searching, and this issue drove me a bit mad trying to find the answer.

I'm having the same issue. Hoping this .ay be it as I had a brake light bulb replaced and now on that side the side lights go out when engine is running

I have a similar issue with the right rear taillight, although it’s not bulb related as I get a short to ground just on the end connector. I’ve checked fuses and wiring loom and no issues. It just suddenly stopped working, no work was done on the van. Driving me mad now. One of pins on the connector block at the end looks slightly discoloured due to moisture so my next job may be replacing that.
