DQ500 P174D00

Good day,
I have a Tiguan with DQ500, and gives Subject fault P174D00, loss of even gears and as of recent only 1st engages.
I have now exchanged with two different mechatronics, and three TCM and have even exchanged valves.
Keeps giving the same fault.
Nezt step is exchanging gearboxes, but this is a very costly enterprise for something that might have a simple solution.
Seems to me the problem is not the mechatronic then.
Any ideas out there?

What diagnostic tool are you using, and have you done the the adaptions after changing the components.

This thread relating to a similar issue on a Q5 may be of use (doing the funtion tests etc using ODIS)

Thanks. Using VCDS, mech tried to update but didn't work, supposedly because this Mechatronic is also not ok.. All parts here are 2nd hand and a lot of husslers out here. I have no guarantee the replacements are actually ok. So we try another mechatronic.

There are companies in the U.K. who can test / repair mechatronics if your able to ship

Seems it was all a con, as when I refused to buy a new gearbox, another mechatronic was produced that did work. Problem solved. Thanks to all!
