DPF Regen Until Soot Level >8g

Maybe ask VW if they can update. There are a few improvements but regen is way better.
Unless its been mapped as the new software will over write it.
I think the regen limit was moved from 24g to 30g with the software update, so basically allowing the soot mass level to go even longer before a regen kicks in.

@Graham Jones
Are you still using the MS Control DPF re-generation device?
Do you still recommend it?
Yes still using it and highly recommend. It lights up when the soot level starts dropping from a regen, and the light flashes and goes out when finished.
I can also press a small button to let me know how much the soot level is. Very happy. Cheers.
PS. regen drops soot level to 6gm and will start regen at 30gm on my van.

It (MS DPF indicator) didn't work on a DNAA engine but they did refund.
That was a year (ish) ago so not sure if they have updated it or not.

Where did you get it from please?

I’ve asked MS Control technical support if it’s compatible with a CFCA.

MS Control (polish company), have a Google.
Thanks, I did but was hoping someone with better google skills had found a UK retailer.

Here’s the UK supplier, cheaper than buying from Poland according to their support.
They are compatible with CFCA.

Edit; this link just take me back to the Polish site. Making some enquiries.

This seems cheaper, from the link in post #50 but not under MS Control?
20 Euro delivery to UK.

Total 61.46 Euro not inc VAT, inc delivery.

Works well on a CFCA.
The only downside being if you don’t pay attention to how you use the single button you could clear some fault codes. No a big deal.

Hi, not sure why I would want this dpf plugin when a standard odb reader and car scanner gives me all those values. Can someone tell me on which input parameters regeneration starts? I can see my regen starting but it is at a dpf load % of 67% which is way to late I think judging this article:

I have an OBD reader (bluetooth) and an app, my regens seem to be happening VERY regularly. will check what soot level they start at, an update might be a good option. Has anyone got to the bottom of why Regens might happen more often than not an whether they will eventuallly do damage? I have a T6 204PS 2.0 tdi. Thanks

My regen starts about every 350km.
This the graph on page 65 taught me a lot. When I look at my soot calc value it starts to regen around 18grams just like what the graph says. Although I have never seen that dash light buring.

More info here....
