Decent replacement Gear knob and Gaiter

So i am getting really peed off with the cheap Veedub transporters replacement gear knob. No matter what I do the reverse collar just sticks all the time.

Has any body found a better alternative? Not looking for OEM, but something closer?

Really pleased with mine. One or two others have the same. If you fancy it I will have a dig and see if I can find the contact details.

I got mine from a company called Exeude, I’ve had two from them, worth a look Exeude - Custom gear knobs and upgrades for VW Transporters

I bought OEM - as you've said, not what you want, but I couldn't find anything that I actually liked. The locking collar is on the gaiter and I don't think Exeude sell gaiters.

Chilli Jam Vans are showing £156 for an OEM gaiter, gear knob and 6 speed cap. I think I paid less than £55 from LLL Parts online

I've got a shifter like this in my Clio and I wouldn't mind fitting this type of gear knob in the van

T6 not 6.1 presumably? I've got an Excude on my 6.1 as well. Works fine but it's very cold in winter!

Might have confused things with the not OEM, I meant not OEM prices. Still want the factory looks.

If you want factory looks and you want it to work properly, buy OEM.

As I said before I bought all the parts separately for under £55 from LLL Parts. It looks like the gaiter, knob and spring are now about £75 with the cap an extra £15
