Day-Van - Kombi or Shuttle?

Hoping folk can give me some advice please.
I am wondering if I should get a LWB shuttle or a LWB T6 Kombi/crew van to convert into an overnight van but I’m not sure which would give me more issues or cost more ! ( it’s likely I will get a company to do for me!)

My plans are to have the following:
- captain front seats
- 2 seats in back
- dog crate where 3rd back seat was
- pop top
- Insulated (as much as possible)
- air conditioning
- heater
- leisure battery
- storage rack down one wall
- bike racks in the rear
- water tank

I’m not sure if I want the rear glass windows that come with the shuttle so would this be costly to change to panels ?

Any thoughts gratefully received!

You can add windows into a Kombi, but not turn a Shuttle into a Kombi.

I'd start with a Kombi. There are far more to choose from, so you can be picky in getting the best your money will buy you. Then, at a later date if you feel you need the rear windows, they can be added.

Ah i didn’t realise you can’t replace the very rear side windows with panels. Thanks for this info.

You can, but cutting a hole to fit glass into is much easier than welding a steel panel into a hole and making it look like it had always been there.
