Dash cam wiring

Well on my dash cam one is permanent live and ignition live , but you have a different dash cam , give me the name and model ,, I'll have a look for you..

Yes I did when replacing a fuse, but when using empty port I left the one on the piggy empty, the fuse in the one in line with the wire. It’s a nextbase 312GW
Ignore the inline fuse. If using an empty slot in the fuse board then you should have one fuse in the piggyback. If your using an occupied slot in the fuse board then you should have two fuses in the piggyback

Yes that’s what options I tried, somehow it’s just not coming on with ignition. Using the 12b cable, usb it come on ok, direct to battery with the piggy cables it comes on, so wires all good, I’m stumped now…

I think you will need a wiring kit for your camera.
You need yellow - for permanent live.
Red for switched live.
If i remember

Mine's on ignition live.... Road Angel - Dash Cam with wiring kit - Purple and Blue fuse

Ignore the Black & Red Wire (with Green Tape), that's routed to my Flux Capacitor Cha... ;)

Road Angel.webp

This is where the confusion lies, my T6 used this setup and this camera no issues, forward to T6.1 same wire setup and same camera, and here we are. This is the hardwire kit that came with the camera so no idea what else I’d need.
