Hello folks - 2019 T6 150 Transporter, 29k miles, FVWSH, weekend leisure van. Please Help - I could do with some advice please. This morning (07/04/2026) when starting the van for work I get the orange Engine Management light. So I brought her home after getting to the end of the street, not knowing what this could be. Van sounds and runs fine. Rang local VW dealer and VW Assist, both said OK to drive, and I've booked van in for a few weeks time (earliest they had). I've the All-In warranty, but they still want to charge me £185 for initial diagnostic - although I get this back if the fault diagnosed is covered by the warranty.
I've connected-up my neighbours Autel scanner, and it's reporting P067200 "Active/static" Cylinder 2 Glow Plug Circuit. It has a Fault priority 2, Count of 1, and was triggered 50 miles ago Sunday 05/04/2026, after a regen I think? (I always let my regens complete when I can). I've driven it another 15miles tonight, runs fine, and a rescan now shows the fault has gone to "Passive/Sporadic".
Q1 - could this be a flash-in-the-pan, and do I clear the code? But would this be picked up by VW and possibly void the All-In Warranty?
Q2 - if I leave as-is, VW might simply clear the code, given it's no longer active, and say "see how you get on and let's have the £185 diag fee please"?
Q3 - while the engine management light (orange) is on, will DPF regens be disabled?
I'm unsure on what to do - heart says reset code, which might never come back, head says leave it to VW and take chances with diagnostic fee and potential glowplug replacement.
Please help
Thanks, Mark.
