EML ; GLOW PLUG CYLINDER 1 P067100

Hi chaps. I've got a 69 plate ,150, T6 with everything completely standard with 45k and runs like a dream.
The engine management light came on a couple of weeks ago and showed the above fault. Simple enough and will be getting repaired in due course.
As mentioned it's started coming on with the onset of cooler nights. Up until it gets repaired in a couple of weeks time all I've been doing is clearing the fault. It's triggered three times so far ,which I've read with an OBD11 and then subsequently cleared the fault and the EML goes off. I've been using the van ( not for short journeys) and all is well. Most times when starting in the morning there's no EML light , since the issue began.
My questions to the forum gurus is; There's an obvious occasional issue with a glow plug but if I simply delete it, there's no EML illuminated. As there's no EML illuminated will my van continue to regen properly OR as there's an underlying fault that's been cleared will the ECU recognise this and prevent a regen.
I don't want to bung everything up and cause more damage.
cheers

I might not understand the situation properly from your description but as far as I’m aware a failed glow plug #1 does not generate a fault code. Not sure what diagnostics you are using.
To check a suspect glow plug use a multimeter to check for continuity and resistance.
There are plenty of cases of damaged glow plug wiring looms.
Glow plugs are not involved in the re-gen process

Apologies if I haven't explained it clearly.
EML light came on, OBD11 scanned, fault code P067100, Cylinder 1 ,glow plug circuit.
It could quite easily be the electrics, but my VW mechanic will be sorting this one in a couple of weeks.
I'd just like to know if by deleting the EML showing the fault using my OBD11, will the ECU continue to allow any regens. As I understand if the EML light is illuminated for whatever reason regens are stopped, resulting in a blocked DPF .
By simply deleting the fault will the ECU allow the regens to occur?
