I have owned transporters for over 25yrs and believe it or not I have not needed to make a single warranty claim on any van in all that time !

But..... Yesterday morning at a set of traffic lights the EML came on and I noticed the engine fan was running full bore like a jet engine ! the van seems to run ok but the cooling fan runs permanently like its doing a regen, but its not. engine temp normal at 90 deg. not got any diagnostics so cant give you any more than that sorry !

My Van is a 2018 T6 102 Manual

Has anyone got any tips on how to go about claiming on the All In Plan ? I have about 7 months left on it and I am shite at arguing these things as I have never had to before, and my nearest VW garage that I trust & use is a 3hr drive away !

Your best bet and probably the cheapest is to get a Carista or similar OBD tool that will do the diagnostics - then figure out where to go from there.
100% Guess and a shot in the dark - so don't ring them up saying this is the problem (not warranty repair anyway) - regen/blocked dpf.

The following advice is a bit sneaky.
Get some diesel on a rag and stick it up behind the dash somewhere.
Now call the AA saying you have an engine light AND you started smelling deisel 'on the way home' and now feel usafe starting or driving it.
That should be enough to trigger a visit then they will read for codes.
