i have recently had timing belt and water pump changed also the aux belt and tensioner replaced and now have a constant squeak the alternator clutch has also been done both myself and the mechanic are at a loss any ideas?

For the sake of £12 I'd spray some of this on the Aux belt and see if the noise goes away. At least if it does you know it's not the cam belt causing the issue.
silenced after just a whiff of spray mechanic has checked for wear or deflection next we are going to put a none ac belt on and see how it goes, will update
Squeak has returned with a passion another new tensioner and belt original vw this time i am getting to the stage now i am thinking of parting with her
is the belt all aligned especially over the tensioner? I recall an issue where the belt wasn't aligned over the tensioner which caused issues including squeaking. A later version tensioner was supposedly the fix I think.
it's a brand new vw tensioner so i would hope it's fixed. the problem is when do i stop getting things changed we know its not the ac compressor the alternator pulley has been changed the crank pulley also i do think it's an alignment issue as it keeps stripping off the sixth rib on the belt
I had a recent 4th year service and MOT undertaken by VW Beadles Van Centre Chelmsford. I was advised that “Poly V belt running off to one side, advise new Poly V belt, tensioner and bolt” at a cost of £212.53.
The van has a 5 year Factory Extended Warranty which VW website says is “exactly the same” as the original warranty. Yet when I asked if the repair was covered they said it would have been up to 3 years but only up to 5 in the event of a failure.
