Closing tailgate from inside

I have a 2019 Black Edition here in Australia and there is a pull switch on the driver door to open the tailgate but not close. Key fob won't close it either.

I understand they did this for some safety scenario but I would like to install a switch to let me close it from inside the vehicle.

Has anyone managed to do this? I did a search and couldn't find an answer.

Hi all,

I have a powered opening tailgate with the button on the tailgate door to close it.




This works, but not when the boot is closed.

The manual says there is a child lock for the boot that disables it...



But I cant find this anywhere! Any ideas?

It sounds like it can be programmed to work with the key fob.
